Jealousy or Admiration

I Guess you could call it jealousy, but to me that sounds to harsh, I would rather call it admiration.  One of the poems that I chose was We Real Cool, By: Gwendolyn Brooks....

We real cool. We
Left School. We
lurk Late. We
Strike straight.  We
Sing sin.  We
Thin gin.
We jazz June.
We Die soon.

At this point you are probably thinking, "are you for REAL?!" the answer is Yes.  At first this poem looks dumb and stupid it might be because we all can relate to it in the simplest way.  Maybe it is because we know exactly who these people are, or in fact we could be this type of person.  What I love about it is that it has the power of Simplicity.  The Author was able to get their message across in just a few lines and that is what I admire.

My Complaints

I'm tired of believe people when you know everything is a lie.  I'm tired of being told who I am. I'm tired of being the only one who helps out.  I'm tired of being ignored.  I'm tired of the rush.  I'm tired of making decisions.  I'm tired of not being on the beach.  I'm tired of feeling like someone else stuck in this place.  I'm tired of these people.  I'm tired of wearing jeans.  I'm tired of being pushed around.  I'm tired of not knowing what to do.  I'm tired of the rules.  I'm tired of routine.  I'm tired of waiting.  Maybe tomorrow I wont be so tired.

Love Is...

Love is that wrenching black hole in  your gut.
Love is coal being refined into gold.
Love is giving up everything you have just so someone can have something.
Love is knowing you made it to the top of the hill without stopping.
Love is the fastest roller coaster, once you get off you cant wait to get back on again.
Love is that breakfast food smiley face on a rainy day.
Love is waiting for something when you don't know if its coming.
Love is saying it out loud.

The Places I Would Go.....

If I were a spec I could go anywhere in the world. Why a spec you ask well a spec can just float up there, around in the vast nothingness of the world.  I would go to the tallest peak, to the deepest sea, to the middle of no-where. I would be swallowed and spit out by a giant sea turtle just because.  I would roll with Kid Cudi, take a ride in a Bugatti, and just sing with my buddy.  There would be no worries of then, now, or soon.  No pressure just me and my tunes. I would go to the pyramids of Egypt, chill with old King Tut. I would listen to people from everywhere with out being noticed.  I would go everywhere and no-where to see where I've I been.  If I were a spec.
